Help finding my Bipap machine taken by mistake on airline

Help finding my Bipap machine taken by mistake on airline
Someone accidentally picked up the wrong carrying case containing my Air Curve 10 ST-A from the overhead compartment on a Delta flight from Atlanta to LaGuardia on Tuesday night. What were the odds of two Resmed cases being next to each other?!!! When I got home and opened the case, I realized immediately it was not my machine. Instead, I have someone's AirSense 10.

I am hoping that other person is on this message board and will get in touch with me so we can exchange machines. Unfortunately, my medical equipment company doesn't recognize the serial number of the machine, and ResMed has informed me they have no way of tracking the serial number.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you so much.

You should call the airline and ask them for help

I did and am waiting for them to get back to me. I am hoping the other person will report the situation as well, but so far, I have heard nothing.

ResMed has the Serial Number.
You likely need to escalate to a higher level.
Remember they cannot give you the info behind the number because it is a violation of privacy. But they should be able to contact the person to see if they have their machine. I'll guarantee the 1st level you contact cannot do that.

You are correct about the first line of customer service -- no help at all. I tried emailing the CEO and received a standard email response that ResMed couldn't help. I will try again.
