[Equipment] Cleaning filters

Cleaning filters
I have not been able to find an answer to this. I have a ResMed machine and I use the nose cushion. I wash it daily because I'm susceptible to infections. I take the cushion off the head strap and wash it in the sink, but should I remove the filter to keep it from getting wet or should I wash the filter, though it won't dry since it's inside what appears to be a sealed case?

RE: Cleaning filters
I'm not certain with mask you're using, but I've had a ResMed that had white packing under the vent circle. It had some black spots at the holes so I ripped it out. The white packing was within the QuietAir elbow. I can only think it'll not be great for it to get wet and not be able to dry fully.

Oh I forgot, welcome to Apnea Board.

RE: Cleaning filters
Which mask are you using?

Are you referring to an add on bacterial filter?
