There is a warning in the mask user manual " Do not use the mask without the Non-Rebreathing Valve in place" This is not marked as a part in any of the illustrations. What does this mean and how do I check if it is there?
Many thanks

RE: Full Face mask - F1B IVOLVE
A nonrebreathing valve is a one-way flap-valve in the elbow where the tube attaches. While the mask is under pressure it blocks a bypass that can admit fresh air if the mask pressure goes negative, such as when a power failure occurs or the machine shuts off. It's purpose is to allow fresh air into the mask if the CPAP is off, and prevents rebreathing expired air with higher CO2. All full-face masks are equipped with this device.
