Is this Dreamstation 2 humidifer dead?

Is this Dreamstation 2 humidifer dead?
Had a suspicion that the hot plate, and hence heated humidification on a DS2 is not working.

Here's what I did. Disconnected the tank. Ran the machine with my finger on the heater plate. Couldn't feel a temp increase.

Thoughts anyone?

RE: Is this Dreamstation 2 humidifer dead?
From the other thread where you posted the OSCAR screen shot it looks like you are using a non-heated hose and the 'Humidity Mode' is set to 'Adaptive'. In Adaptive mode the heater plate temperature is determined by the ambient conditions in the room. If the room is already humid due to weather conditions, then the heater plate may not warm up. If you have AC and the room is dry and cool then the Adaptive mode may call for humidity and heat the plate.
