It is what it is, every thing cost more down under, CPAP is no exception
Even cheap Chinese made machines sell for peanuts in US, they sell for few hundreds dollars in Australia
If you happen to have some private cover, the fund might reimburse you with some of the cost of the machine but not for mask and other stuffs which you're using all the times and can be quite expensive
This need to change, make some noise, talk to your member of parliament, health minster, or form a support group that can lobby those people on your behalf and the community
