I was just wondering what the average cost to get a machine serviced was?

They seem to rarely go bad in a way or at at time that servicing vs replacement is chosen route.   Hence, I have doubts that you will get enough data to come up with a useful average.  They are designed to last for five years, after which replacement is not a bad idea vs using it until it dies in the middle of the night.  They are also not all that costly if you get them from Amazon or some other low cost/no support type of source.  And new models come out ever few years.  All that makes keeping an old one going not a very attractive proposition, in my mind.

There is no "average" cost. If a main board goes bad it could be more economical to replace the machine. I don't anticipate any non-warranty repair and keep a second machine at all times. The cost of repair is nearly always higher than what I can buy.
