A good start... Thanks to the forum
It has now been one month since I started CPAP. I am really glad and thankful to all here that this journey has been mostly trouble free. I started early here, after my reccomendation for a sleep study, but before the study itself.
Thanks to you good people:
1) I knew what to expect and how to prepare for the study.
2) Knew the questions to ask my Dr. and make my request for a good machine.
3) Learned the horrors of the DME industry.
4) Learned what I should verify with my insurance.
I was able to get the equipment I wanted, in a very timely manner, from an on-line supplier who worked with my insurance company. Saved a lot of time, hassle, and money.
Learned how to set it up, get the software I would need to make the best of my treatment, and what to expect when I started sleeping with a machine.
I now feel better, feel in control, and feel very thankful.
I wish you all of you a good sleep, happy breathing, a long life.
As I gain more experiance, I will share what I have learned, joining others in helping newcomers meet this condition.
Thank you, DWALDMAN

Tongue Suck Technique for prevention of mouth breathing:
- Place your tongue behind your front teeth on the roof of your mouth
- let your tongue fill the space between the upper molars
- gently suck to form a light vacuum
Practising during the day can help you to keep it at night

DWALDMAN,
Woot!! Congratulations on getting the info you needed AND taking charge of your therapy.
Glad to be able to share helpful information, but it was you who pushed through the overtired fog and cobwebs and made good things happen.
well done, and your success will inspire others who follow in your footsteps.
