Who are Lowenstein, and what do they have to do with Weinmann?
I have a Lowenstein prismaSMART CPAP machine. But whenever I google "prismaSMART" I only get "Weinmann" in my results. The images I see are exactly the same machine I have, but with the Weinmann logo.
So I tried to google Weinmann and they seem to at least exist. They have a proper website and a page on wikipedia. Then I tried to google "Lowenstein" and its like they don't even exist. No wikipedia page. Maybe once by a stroke of luck I found their website, which looks of a real low quality - even for the healthcare niche. I can't seem to get any info on them. I used to think Lowenstein was maybe owned by Weinmann, but then I contacted my local providers and they told me they "only support Weinmann products, not Lowenstein".
What is the deal with that company? Are they a part of Weinmann or not? And if not, why do their machines look EXACTLY the same, with the same model name? And why you can't find anything on them on the internet? Is my machine a knockoff? This lack of information makes me feel really helpless.
