Some other day, I can post a pic of them side by side.
But I just now googled "resmed air fit f20 elbow replacement", and clicked on the ResMed website for the F20 (not sure if I'm allowed to just link to it directly). The full mask in the pic has the not quiet elbow (you can see the holes around the circle - like a clock). If you scroll down just a tad, it has in its own pic the quiet elbow (it has a cloudy plastic ring - and some foam type of stuff - that covers the ring with the holes).
Funny enough, ResMed's own website says: QuietAir™ is our innovative diffuser vent technology within the mask elbow that makes the AirFit F20 89% quieter1 and 70% gentler than before.2 Featuring small multidirectional openings over a widespread area, QuietAir breaks up exhaled air so that it’s spread out lightly.

Here are 3 pics of the two elbows. On the left in each pic is the quiet elbow.

I thought they were identical besides the cloudy plastic ring on the quiet elbow, but that's ever so slightly wrong.
Inside of the donut shaped circle (inside the ring of that donut), the not quiet one (on the right) has some grooves. It's so very hard to see that, but look at about 10 o'clock and 4:30 (at those angles inside of the donut).
