Help with suggested pressure or other changes
Hi, I am new to a CPAP machine. I am 38 and was originally diagnosed at 7 years old but was stubborn and wouldn't listen. I've got sick of being tired and yawning 500 times a day. Also, have had trouble with depression and wondering if this is the cause. Anyhow was wondering if someone could help interpret my data as I bought my machine without seeing a specialist. I did have another sleep test about 5 years ago and was recommended a CPAP but didn't follow through. Thank you

RE: Help with suggested pressure or other changes
First step is to fix your mask leak. Considering you're using a full face mask you may want to pull the straps 10% tighter tonight. Also, wash your face and the mask silicone nightly to get the best seal.
Next, I'd change your minimum pressure to 8 and your max to 16 to see if that gets you in a better range to handle those obstructive events. If ramp is on, turn it off. Then post your data after trying the new settings and we can make more recommendations.

RE: Help with suggested pressure or other changes
Welcome to the board. To begin with you look like you are doing ok but you could use some adjustments.
Your leak rate is fine - you had 2 large leaked caused by your mask and you readjusted them. Keep looking at the large leak events to make sure you will not have problems but for now you are ok. You have one period during the night where you had positional apnea. It is also known as chin tucking where your chin drops down to your sternum and cuts off your airway. It can happen in any position but more often when you sleep on your back. Or maybe you bunched up your pillow and made it to high. You can see positional apnea when the O and/or H events are grouped together. And you had one of those so try to find out why you get into that position and stay out of it. The change I would make to your settings is to raise the min to 7. Turn on the EPR to full time set to 3. We need to see a night or 2 of sleep results to see if everything is ok. Please post again tomorrow or the next day.

RE: Help with suggested pressure or other changes
Hi there, here is my latest data, after making the changes you recommended. I also switched to the Airtouch F20 Mask, which was much more comfortable to me. Thank you for your help. Also happy to add I am already feeling better since starting the machine 4 days ago. My yawning is later in the day and feel like I have more energy!

Good for you! It looks better no real positional apnea, I hope it continues.
