Giving up on my shiny new F30i Mask

I also cut out the devider between the nares on my F30i

This voids the warranty and for some it might add a slight leak; but if you have issues (deviated septum, allergies or large turbinates) it can really help.

Personally I wonder if Resmed added the nasal devider simply to differentiate between the Dreamweaver.

It says in your settings that you have an A10 -- do you know that there's a mask fit setting on the menu that ramps the pressure all the way up? The nice thing is that it doesn't record the data, so you don't end up with weird/extra gaps in your data.

Actually I just found out that my Amazon purchase of this mask allows me until mid September for a full refund return, no questions asked. I LOVE amazon, just for that privilege which I think only Prime members have (definitely worth the membership fee).
I'll be purchasing all my masks and accessories on Amazon, for sure because just this return alone pays for Prime membership fee.

One odd thing about the F30i is that the frame comes in three sizes. The cushion sizing is mostly about the size of your nose; the frame size is about the size of your skull. Here's a link to the sizing guide at ResMed's site.

In the other F30i thread several folks said they had better luck making sure the frame was small enough for them. Too big causes it not to fit right.

I didnt realise how different the F30i is from the F30. I guess the "i" is for improved ? Unsure about that.
I couldn't do traditional full masks because they tended to push my nose bridge down too much resulting in mouth breathing. The F30 did the trick perfectly.
The F30i frame looks like it has much less adjustability, I find the 3 dimensions of adjustments in the F30 important to keep the mask sealed without being uncomfortable.

Thanks cathyf. I am a refugee from the DS 1, and
I was aware, but it is good to point that out.

However the mask fit test does not seem to include EPR which I find adds to potential leaks.

The Mask Fit option uses the highest set pressure for adjusting your mask. This applies for both inhale and exhale.

But not EPR. It is that change between IPAP and EPAP that I find seems to upset the seal in hybrid masks.

I've been tempted to try this.  Have you noticed any additional leakage or movement?

RE: Giving up on my shiny new F30i Mask....
F30i was the first mask I've tried with my CPAP, and I think I'm going to give it another shot since the pressure I've used was 5 back then. Currently, my pressure is 9, so that may make a difference. The issue I had was waking up gasping for air, and I attributed to the holes on the nasal cradle shifting and possibly blocking full air-flow. But, it could be due to low pressure. I will find out if nasal cradle holes shifting is the issue.
