New to the forum so doing the customary intro
After many years of not sleeping well and doing the man-thing i.e. not seeking any medical advice, I decided to go and get some sleep test done.
Symptoms: feeling dazed every morning, literally nodding off at work in the afternoon etc etc. The final straw was and here is a tip for business etiquette...if you're dialled in remotely to a phone conference and not talking, remember to put the MUTE button on!
Yes you guess it, in the middle of a conference call and nodded off and apparently started to snore quite loudly
I woke up and realised some 20 minutes had passed an the phone call had ended. My screen was full off chat messages from work colleagues with comments such as "Thanks for your input", "Gold", " Some of your best work" and so on. Needless to say I won't live it down for a quite some time.
Anyway...so I'm about three weeks into a four week trial of a machine which is a Philips System One with a Wisp mask. I have to say I am really surprised how well I have adapted to this setup and have definitely felt the benefits already! I must admit I was a bit sceptical about the whole thing going into it, wondering if it was all in the mind, would a machine work etc but I can honestly say it has helped dramatically even in this early trial and adjustment stage.
So at the end of the four weeks I need to venture out and buy my own setup. As I said before, I've been really happy with this machine and mask so should I bother going to look for alternatives? From the short time I've scoured the forum the S9 Autoset seems to be the main alternative but is it worth jumping ship?
Thanks in advance for your input.
