[CPAP] Water escaping
#1
Water escaping
Last night about 2am i could feel water in the mask and there were several damp spots on my pillow. Then was a "sucking noise" as I breathed in . This has never happened in the 4 weeks I have been using the machine.
Maybe because I upped the humidifier to 4 and because we are going into late Autumn the air is cooler .Any thoughts please?

Yep to both those reasons. Heated hose, hose cover, put the machine down hill from the mask.

Hose cover can be some old socks and rubber bands. When the hose gets cooler than the inside moist air, you get rainout. keep the hose warmer or the CPAP air cooler/

Also look carefully at the hose against a light. I don't get any water drops in the hose, but only in the mask itself. I haven't tried a fleece on the short hose, but I believe the condensation is from the extra moisture added by my nose and lungs. It seems to happen most when my air conditioner is running, so I suspect the only cure is a warmer room.
