watedrchamber rust
I have been using the Resmed S11 with the heated humidifier.
The stainless steel water tank bottom has evidence of rusting.
Resmed sent me instructions on how to remove "Discoloration" but would not acknowledge it is rust.
QUERY is there any study being done on the health effecs of breathing rust infused water from this water chamber?

Buy a new one. I seriously doubt that such a specific study has been done. Plus, what has happened has happened. You can't change the past. In future be diligent about maintaining.

I doubt you've inhaled any rust. The humidification is by evaporation and the rust doesn't evaporate.

RE: watedrchamber rust
When I first started with CPAP 10 years ago I wasn't cleaning my AS10 water chamber well enough and it developed what looked like rust but was red bacteria. I was uing store bought distilled water (now I distill my own). Having fixed that problem, I bought a water chamber online from those former Book Store guys that clearly was a knockoff. It developed areas of actual rust. Now I only buy equipment from a reputable supplier. I have long since given up on using DMS. It isn't worth the aggravation to me.
