Philips Replacement Devices - No PREHEAT or AUTO-OFF
Greetings:
If you live in the U.S. you are likely to run into the same dead end I did trying to get an answer from Philips. So I am directing this to users outside the U.S.
I turned in a Series One CPAP and a DreamStation1 to Philips because of the recall. I received a DreamStation2 and repaired DreamStation1 in return. I expected both of them to have the same functionality as the ones I returned. I thoroughly explored the clinician menu and determined that there was no way to access “AUTO-OFF”, “PREHEAT” or change the default ramp value.
When I tried to contact Philips I was told to contact my DME (who wants nothing to do with Philips) or my doctor who is my PCP. When I tried to contact Philips Global I was told they do not deal with U.S. residents.
I am requesting information about getting a software or firmware update that would give both machines all the functionality the original equipment had.
Thank you for reading this post.
