[How to] WARNING: RESMED WATER CHAMBER MISTAKE

WARNING: RESMED WATER CHAMBER MISTAKE
Was running late and threw my ResMed Airsense water chamber on the top rack of the dishwasher like a lazy lout. Found that the unit leaked like a sieve around the heating plate. It seems that ResMed has a standard (non-dishwasher safe) model and one designed for a dishwasher. The difference appears to be the type of plastic used in the lower part that holds the heating plate.

FYI...

ResMed AirSense™ 10 Dishwasher Safe Humidifier Water Chamber
SKU# 37479    UPC: 619498373000

ResMed AirSense™ 10 CPAP Water Chamber
SKU# 37299     UPC: 619498372997

My Dishwasher safe version appears to have a gray top latch where the non-dishwasher safe model appears to have a white top latch -- but I do not know if this is true for all units.

How to Determine if the ResMed AirSense 10 Water Chamber is Dishwasher Safe?

AirSense 10, AirStart 10, and AirCurve 10 devices denote the "S" or "C" mark of the water chamber model. To find the term HumidAirTM and the accompanying letter embossed inside the tank, look immediately above the maximum fill line marked on the side of the chamber.

If the chamber shows a “C” it is a HumidAir C, which means the tank can be cleaned and the water chamber is dishwasher safe.

If the chamber shows an “S” it is a HumidAir S, which means it has a standard tank and the water chamber is not dishwasher safe.

Hope you have a spare in stock. The white or gray tab does tell at a glance if the chamber is dishwasher safe.

Where can I see the C and S? Do we have links with pics?
