Hunting for the cause of awekenings
Hello,
I think my APAP is pretty dialed in for mild/OSA and UARS.
I feel better with APAP, but not quite there yet.
I find the culprit to be insomnia-like awakenings. I only started suffering from these since starting APAP and never before.
These awakenings tend to happen later in the night. They increase in frequency over the course of the night. This in my opinion reveals this is REM-related.
I use nasal pillows, so I have a suspect which is muscle relaxing in REM, the jaw dropping, the tongue coming down from the roof and causing either a mouth leak or some kind of annoyance that wakes me up to put myself back in correct mouth position.
I will post here screenshots of a typical night, where the flow rates of these awakenings are also attached. What do these awakenings look like to you? I promise that even though there might appear to be nothing going on in the charts, there's awakenings in these time frames.
