I need a Home Sleep study provider enrolled in Medicare

I need a Home Sleep study provider enrolled in Medicare
I’ve had 4 attempts of doing a polysomnogram in a sleep. I can’t lay down and go to sleep with all that hardware etc attached to me, in foreign setting. I have hard enough sleeping in a hotel. Yes I’m an anxious person.
In 2011 I did an in lab study where I was given 10mg of Valium. Study was normal. Another ate was done 2016 where after tossing and turning all night I got up and went home at 430. In 2017 I was given 10mg of Ambien and had an AHIof <5 but told I had USRS and to use an MAD. It doesn’t help me get a good nights sleep. So another in lab study was attempt was done July 2024. Again another bust of a study.
It was suggested I do another study and take a benzo or Ambien again. The thing is I was on a benzo for 20 years, which I never should have been but I nor the doctors seem to know that. It was hell getting off and I can never take another benzo again. And Ambien is basically a benzo knockoff. So another in lab study is out.
So I’m left with doing a home sleep study which recently showed an AHI of 16 or low moderate apnea. It’s been suggested by the provider that did the sleep study I go on APAP. Problem is they are not enrolled in Medicare which is required if i want Medicare to pickup the $1000 cost of the machine.
So my question here is does anyone know of a provider who does home sleep studies and is enrolled with Medicare? My local sleep MD refuses to do a home sleep study saying they aren’t good enough. But I’ve given up on doing another in lab study and I know I’m having some breathing issues while sleeping and I need to address them.

you need to go to medicare and get a list of sleep medicine doctors near you. let the sheep doctor decide how to proceed based on your history. if you state your city and state maybe somebody in your area can help you with a doctor.

RE: I need a Home Sleep study provider enrolled in Medicare
I did a sleep study locally here in July. It was a total bust. I cannot sleep in a sleep lab unless I am sedated. Ive done 2 sleep studies where I was sedated and they were normal. 2 others where I wasnt and they were worthless. I know I am not sleeping well which has left me doing a home sleep study but the outfit I did it with is not enrolled in Medicare and thus I cannot get a cpap machine covered. But I thin I have found a local sleep doc who is an MD and does do home sleep studies. Hopefully he accepts Medicare.
