RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
I hope an expert can take a look in the next day or two to give you advice about your settings in light of your AHI and FLs. I am certain that can be improved, one way or another.
Fatigue might be worth a conversation with the doctor who is prescribing the antidepressants. As I’m sure you know better than I, finding the right drug at the right dose is something of an unending quest. This, from the NIH, might be of some interest to you:

It’s a little outdated but still possibly useful.
RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
Greg,
MOST of your events are Central Apnea. The first step is to set EPR=0, yes, turn it off. EPR looks like it is currently set at 2.
Our first task is to manage the Centrals. We need to at least attempt to see what is causing them. This should determine if your CO2 balance is causing this.
Below are some common "causes", for elimination.
What meds are you taking, both Rx and recreational?
Any other breathing conditions, asthma or COPD?
History of stroke or seizure?
Let's see what the EPR=0 does. I expect the centrals to go down.

Also, in regards to Write Protect: make sure you slide the switch on the SD card back to "off" before putting the card back in your machine, or it won't be able to save the data. You only want it on while it's in your computer (if at all)
RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
Until now did you have any idea what made up you AHI (especially at 9); obstructives, centrals (clear airway), hypopneas?
Did your doctor ever discuss it?
I’ve had centrals for years, but I was able to manage them to stay within 1.5 to 3.5 per hour. A little more than a year ago, they spiked, at times to double digits. The high numbers came out of nowhere. I had never used EPR. I fought it for a year, they would come and go, and then got an ASV machine.
Follow whatever advice you get here, but plan on getting your doctor onboard if the centrals persist. If he won’t listen, find another doctor.

RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
Thanks for the input.
I just checked my machine and it actually says that the EPR is turned off. Not sure why it says the EPR was 2 on OSCAR. Are you sure it says that?
To answer some of your questions. I have no history of stroke or breathing problems.
I'm a 36 year old Male, thin, not overweight....no major health problems ever.
I take a medication called Pristique at 300 mg a day
and Lyrica at 150 mg a day
Both for Anxiety and Depression.
I have been on both of these meds at their dose for 13 years and only had Sleep apnea for last 4 years.
I do go to a doctor who looks at the data from my Cpap machine around 2 times a year. It's usually a different doctor each time....as it's a clinic. Anyway, they never really addressed the central apneas....a lot of times they said, it may just be the machine saying they are central apneas, when they are not, perhaps bc of leaks or something...I have a huge beard and use a p10 nasal mask.
They did say however that on my titration study, that I had NO centrals recorded then.
RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
Your graphs show you already have EPR off so ignore Bonjours request to turn it off
RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
Although you've been taking your two drugs for a long time, your experience with extended periods of non-restful sleep do strongly suggest that a discussion with your doctor is in order. Our reactions to drugs can change over time.
My suggestion arises not from any thought that the drugs are causing apnea but from your lengthy times in bed plus your recent experiences of feeling unrested.
RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
I would schedule an appointment.
At this point the facts are that neither CPAP nor APAP has been able to reduce your AHI to below 5. After 2 years there is no more just getting used to the therapy time period.
Download Rescan (Resmed software) and take your data with you when you talk to the doctor. Rescan might carry more weight with your doctor. At this point you need to go to a machine that treats your centrals. You may have to find a new sleep doctor.

RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
In post # 8 the pressure chart shows a difference between IPAP and EPAP I estimate to be 2 cmw. If EPR is off where did these charts come from?

RE: Increased Pressure, now waking up a ton???
Bonjour
The graphs in post #8 were last June where th OP was not waking up but the AHI was over 10 here EPR was enabled there is a post before that #5
http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...#pid327682 for January that shows no EPR but the OP waking up.
I am thinking EERS may help or ASV is required due to the level of CA’s
