So encouraged reading all your reviews and info on this ffm.
My DME allows for one change of mask during the first month with CPAP.
So she is trying to get this for me and told me she will send it to me even if after the 30 days she gets it to avoid any out of pocket costs for me!
I do not have to dend back my Dreamwear Nasal Cushion that I have adjusted to and use. Which is a good thing as I really just want the ffm for when I need to open my mouth (- ie colds & severe sinus/allergy issues) to sleep.

Question for FIXED IT,
I am also having irritation on my nose right where it meets my lip.
You said that you went from a medium to a large cushion, can you descripe the size difference and how it fit your face.
Yes the AirFir F40 Large Cushion eliminated the irritation between my nose and upper lip. Now my nose rests on top of the pillow section rather than being squished into the section. Kudos to Supplier 29 that credited me back for the large cushion. I gave up on the DME providers long ago and am happly managing all my needs myself. And, of course, with Apnea Board info.

I've been using the F40 for about 2 weeks. I also had very large leaks the first 3 or 4 nights. The standard head gear is a little on the big side for me also (the small headgear was way too small), but I kept fiddling with the adjustments until I solved the leak problem. The one that that I did that worked best for me is to attach the upper straps to the head strap back over my ears rather straight up the strap like in the pictures. This gives me a little more adjustment room and now the leaks aren't a problem. I'm thinking about taking the headgear to my wife's seamstress to see if there is a way to shorten the straps a little without screwing it up.

Domino,
Thanks for your suggestion. I am also having very large leaks that I never had with the F30. I agree that the standard sized head gear seems too big, at least for me and the small one is too small.
In general the F40 seems to be working for many people.
The problems that users are encountering are
1. leaks
2. nose pain
3. head gear sizing
Unfortunately, I have all 3 of them. To get rid of the nose pain I loosen the head gear which causes major leaks.
I will try moving the upper straps like you suggested.
The one small issue I am having is a little bit of my nose is irritated in the morning. The F40 does seem to push up on the nose more than the F30 did. Not a huge problem yet, but keeping an eye on it.
