I accessed the clinician's manual, and when trying to set it up the only modes available are CPAP and APAP. There seems to be no autoset mode. Is this normal, or is the CPAP setting automatic on this machine? I am getting confused on this front. I would like to set it to auto until he can do a sleep test and get a physician to help. Thank you!

ResMed S9 Escape Auto - Setting issue
Hi all! just got a ResMed S9 Escape Auto for my dad on ebay (new).
Thank you!

RE: ResMed S9 Escape Auto - Setting issue
APAP is the Auto CPAP mode or AKA AutoSet like. I say like AutoSet because I'm not sure if true AutoSet is exclusive to the 10 series or not.
A is for Auto in APAP BTW.

RE: ResMed S9 Escape Auto - Setting issue
The escape is a fixed pressure machine with no efficacy stats it does not give a reading of AHI (Also known as a brick)
Look by the power button for the exact version if it is an Auto then the APAP mode will provide the range of settings as described by Dave |
