Is this what hyperventilating looks like?
Last night, about a half an hour before I woke up, I had a dream where I was running and couldn't catch my breath. Oscar shows a large increase in tidal volume and minute vent, at that time, outlined in the red box. I looked on my camera and I'm just lying there sleeping, not moving, until the leak starts then I wake up and tighten my mask. Would this be considered hyperventilating in my sleep?

Dreams are just weird and seem to integrate your environment into the dream. The other night I was dreaming of someone sighing or crying, and I aroused to a squeaky balloon leak on my mask. Strange things happen in that stage. It's hard to say if you perceived the increase in respiration, or whether your dream reflected that or caused it.
