RE: Just tried to start OSCAR for second day and none of my info is showing
Jeff8356Plmnb, can you confirm if your data is actually being stored on your computer?
Open Finder, click Documents, scroll down to OSCAR_Data left click. Navigate to Profiles, <your username>, Resmed_###, Backup, DATALOG, 2019
That should show you all the data that has been imported into OSCAR. If the data is there then we may need to get one of the developers to step in.
If the data is missing then it may be a particular setting/app on your Mac that may be causing issues.
Hi Jeff8356.
I couldn't navigate to the below point the way you told me, the left click way, because my mouse is an Apple mouse with no left/right ability. I looked up how to left click, but all I could find was info on right clicking. So hopefully it is ok that I double clicked to get to the image below:

None of these items matches the next thing you said to look for?

I don't think so. Everything else works exactly as it should. Just the other day I installed a new application and it works just fine.

RE: Just tried to start OSCAR for second day and none of my info is showing
Plmnb, sorry, I'm used to how I have my trackpad setup!
from your screenshot, double click on the ResMed_23192927793 folder. Then you should see a Backup folder, double click. Then a DATALOG folder, double click. Then a 2019 folder, double click.
You should see a bunch of files that start with the date (ie: 20191116.... ). You should have multiple files for each respective date. If it seems that all the correct dates are there then there is a different issue. But first lets actually confirm the data is there....
RE: Just tried to start OSCAR for second day and none of my info is showing
This is what your looking for:
Notice the files on the right. That's all the data I imported into OSCAR since I started (October 31).

RE: Just tried to start OSCAR for second day and none of my info is showing
I was able to navigate to exactly what you show in your image.
Just to make sure I looked at the furthest right hand column in various views just to more easily determine the dates. The earliest file created on date is the 12th of Dec. I'm thinking the files that say they were created on the 12th are the files that contain ALL the information for the night of the 11th?
It is so strange that all of a sudden, at this very moment, the COMPLETE daily charts and everything for the night of the 11th through now are available!
(FROM POST #12 IN THIS THREAD:Strange. I created new profile and inserted SD card. Import achieved.
However, and this is a bit distressing...the ONLY day that is reporting no data found AT ALL is yesterday. Yesterday being the first day I used OSCAR. I am super happy I have my screen shots of yesterday, phew.
But why on earth would there be no data showing up for only yesterday? There is data available for the days prior to yesterday.)
In addition, earlier today I could not get daily charts for the night of the 11th. Even the date of the 11th in the calendar on the left was black and not blue.
This is all very strange. (I believe I read somewhere that if you don't have the card in the machine you will only get the summaries onto the SD card for the days you have no card in.)
I really want to figure out why things keep showing up then disappearing then showing up again because I'm starting to feel like a crazy person every time I ask for help on here with this.
Whachya think?

RE: Just tried to start OSCAR for second day and none of my info is showing
Plmnb - Ok, that at least tells us that OSCAR is, in fact, storing your data where it should be.
The file names of those data files your found are named according to the date and time you started the machine. So if I am interpreting the file names correctly, this file 20191101_010839_CSL.crc, means I started my machine on Nov 01, 2019 at 01:08:39 hours (or 1:08:39 AM). In this example it should be considered the file for Oct 31 as far as Oscar is concerned.
I can't say for sure what happens with the data if you forget to insert the card in the machine. You are correct that the machine will keep the summary data, but I'm not sure how OSCAR interprets that during the import.
As far as things disappearing on you, two thoughts come to mind:
#1- Has to do with where you have the OSCAR.app installed. I recall you saying that you moved it to your Desktop. Some apps are particular as to where they are installed. I'm making an educated guess that OSCAR.app NEEDS to be in your Applications folder, not on your desktop. So if you haven't already done so, try moving it to your Applications folder. I've had it happen with a couple of different apps over the years that just weren't working properly until I put them in the correct location.
#2- If you have some type of Anti-Virus software installed, it may not like OSCAR. There should be some type of setting in the AV software that would let you make an exception.
I know, there is a common misconception that Mac's aren't prone to getting viruses. I never got one on any of my Mac's in ~15 years. But it's just that, a misconception!
Also, when things start going wonky, it's never a bad idea to reboot (restart) your computer!
Hope this works for you!

Good morning Jeff8356 and the rest of you OSCAR experts.
I just moved the OSCAR Icon from my desktop to the applications folder. (Where upon the first time I installed OSCAR this could be found. For some reason when I reinstalled the program it did not appear in my Applications folder.) . I found it curious that when I moved the Icon to the folder just now I got a message asking if I was sure I wanted to make the change because it would remove it from my I cloud and not allow it to be available on other devices. Maybe this has something to do with one minute info being there and the next minute not? Anyway, curious to see what happens whenever I decide to actually close the OSCAR program and then try to reopen it.
Now, if someone could please tell me how to put the calendar BACK, lol. I took it out for the screen shot posting purposes. But now I am unable to make it reappear. I keep clicking on the little up/down arrow in the date box, but it is not making the calendar reappear.
Thank you.

The up/down arrow in the date box on my windows 10 system works as it should. But try going to View > Click on F9 or Click on F9 on your keyboard.

Appreciate the help OpalRose! Not sure that this way would work on MAC but at the moment doesn't matter cause I had to reopen OSCAR and when I did the matter was corrected anyway. Besides, I am happy to report that EVERYTHING, ALL days are present and accounted for!
