Leaks and Mask Test

Leaks and Mask Test
I use a PR DreamWear Nasal mask and a DreamStation BiPap.  I get leaks at high pressure which for me is 12-14.

I also use a RESMED Narval dental appliance mostly to keep my mouth closed.

At this point I'm not sure if the leaks are the mask or the pressure opening my lips.

The mask tests fine at the lower pressures.

Is there a way to test the mask at the highest pressure?

Perhaps by getting in the provider settings and making temporary changes?

Thanks in advance.

The Comfort submenu has a mask fit. The icon is a person (circle) with a triangle in the center and a check mark on the right. So that hieroglyphic is supposed to be check mask fit, and it is at the end of the same menu that has Flex and Ramp settings.

I have mask fit turned on. It just doesn't test at the highest pressures.

I was always under the impression that the "mask fit check" feature tested at the highest pressure set, although I haven't been able to find any documentation on that.

If someone else knows, please chime in.

I'm curious about this, too. Whenever I use Check Mask Fit, it's to blow air through the hose after I've washed it, to try to get the water drops out... and I feel like it is only blowing at my min pressure.

Yes that's what mine does also. The problem is running a mask fit at low pressure doesn't have much value. I want to see what it's doing at high pressure since that's when leaks occur.

When you are performing the mask fit, does the DreamStation show you on the display screen the pressure it is testing at?

No. But I can tell the difference between 7.5 out and 9.5 in. And the difference between 9.5 and 14 in is apparent.
Much louder and I can feel the difference in the exhaust. There is no doubt that it is not being tested at the highest pressures.

I use the Dreamstation Apap machine with the Dreamwear mask, my pressure setting is 14-20. During the test the pressure seems to be much greater than normal. I test when the Dreammaper app indicates <95%, so far each test passes.
