Hi PaBlum, someone in another thread made a comment that witch hazel is bad for mask cushions. Just throwing it out there.

Hi PaBlum,
WELCOME! to the forum.!
I would think, if you wrince your face well before you mask up, the witch hazel shouldn't hurt the cushion.
Best of luck with your new S9.

I've been giving some thought to using witch hazel since I use it 2-3 times a week with no problems. Witch Hazel is a solution which (no pun) contains alcohol. So, the alcohol part is definitely bad for cushions even if no other part is. So why don't I have problems? Because I don't use the witch hazel on my mask, but on my face. And I towel it off immediately. Since it is alcohol based, whatever isn't removed by the towel evaporates almost instantly.

PS: I use it every morning after shaving as a lightweight aftershave/cleanser.

I forget if it was you in another thread, but one thing that does help me keep a good seal is to wash the mask cushion and flap as well as washing your face right before bed. Before too many nights, skin oil makes keeping a seal harder and harder for me.

Does your mask have a flap as well as a cushion? The flap is sort of like a hovercraft skirt, and helps create the seal when it inflates. It should smooth out any places where the mask cushion does not exactly match the contour of your face. If all you have is a cushion, then you are going to have to make sure that there is contact with your skin along the entire perimeter of the mask.

Have u tried mask liners like Remzzzs
