Little Olive - Therapy Adventure
#91
RE: Little Olive - Therapy Adventure
I read the wiki article and burst into tears.  I have EVERY single symptom on the list and have done for several years, some of them for many years.  And some not on the list, like bursting into tears a lot.  Just from exhaustion.  I guess I'm upset that I'm not getting better.   I easily understood the terminology, I have been both a nurse, and a journalist in previous lives, but unfortunately long term apnea has wrecked my brain and I find it very tiring to read and sort things let alone retain them.  But going through it bit by bit and taking notes,  it is so helpful and I will be able to prepare for my appointment with the respiratory guys, whenever that may be.

I will be armed with copies of Oscar's ugliest, and I guess return my settings to what the clinic gave me.  They gave me several, including a trial of set pressure of 15 in CPAP mode. That was difficult, it was very aggressive. Currently I'm pretty close to their settings they left me with.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try the EPR reduction for a start, see how I get on..

re the oxymeter, I found this one, is this Viaton the same as the checkme max?

Viatom is the actual company that uses the Wellue name in the US. There is a model just below the CheckMe named SleepU. Its battery is smaller and allows for 16 hours of use before recharging. It is lower in price than the CheckMe. I've had my SleepU for several years and haven't experienced any problems.

Yes that Viatom Checkme O2 Max is the same as I was talking about.

It has all of the whistles and bells, Bluetooth and software download, easy import to OSCAR, & replaceable sensor.

If you do not need 24 hour coverage, as Red said above, there is lesser priced units that are wrist worn, still have replaceable sensors.

I Hope it will give you the documentation you need to move up to Urgent status.

RE: Little Olive - Therapy Adventure
Sorry to keep putting these up, but is this right?  multiple cental events in a block?  I tried to count up the seconds, but it's very fiddly, I got 14,25,20,19,15,20,16  before I gave up less than 1/2 way through the block.  with 28 minutes of CSB as well.

I had taken on board the probability that some of mine are positional,,  I was mindful of that early this morning so I took my thyroid pill then settled on my left side, collar and mask all correctly in place, and fell asleep. I woke again in the same position and pretty sure I hadn't moved. So I was surprised to see the record of that last part of my sleep. How am I still alive even,   if I really had all that going on?   Dont-know

btw it was earlier in the morning than Oscar shows, I think Oscar is on daylight saving time. I'm sure I selected a time zone when I registered, but I can't find a place to check that.
