[Treatment] ivorpetkov (my wife) - Therapy Thread

Your use of the English language is very good.

I am not intimately familiar with the Air Sense 10 autoset for Her. I understand it has unique algorithms that slow the response of the pressure adjustments to make it easier on the user.

We have other members who are very experienced with this machine and it's capabilities, I am sure they will chime in here in a few days.

Meanwhile when you post the sleep report for the night be sure to also include a couple of 3 or 4 minute views of her flow rate that also capture an Obstructive Apnea or Hypnea event.

I feel you will have to have the higher pressure to fully address the OA and H events, with some other changes in parameters to address the flow limitations. there again I am not fully familiar with that particular machine.

Meanwhile read as much on Oscar therapy reports as you can.  There are discussions on wave shapes as you read through the link. This is a lot of information to absorb, I have had to read through it several times to begin to grasp the relationship of therapy pressures, pressure relief, timing and response speed, to the desired effects on OA, H, CA, and flow limits.

Hang in there, it takes a some time to get acclimated to the therapy pressure and fit of the mask.

Sleep-well

UnicornRider, thanks for the reply.
We use the "APAP mode" of Air Sense 10 autoset for Her.
I guess then the algorithm is identical to that of Air Sense 10.
"For Her mode" is for mild to moderate cases and it didn't work well for us when we started with it.
Even "Response Soft" of the APAP mode did not give a good result (there was a double FL) and we returned to the standard response.
Meanwhile, reducing the minimum pressure to 9 was not good, and since yesterday I have returned to a minimum pressure of 11.
I am now sure that the right choice for us was AirCurve 10 VAuto. Still, I'm going to try a little more with Air Sense.

I admit that I mainly use Google Translate Smile

Have you any recent sleep reports to post?

Last 2 days and general statistics.
The last night (AHI 4) she has had more awakenings due to some external cause.
She has also been trying to sleep which is not typical.
Her height is 1.50 m (59 inches)

If your wife can stand it, bring the low up to 14 (cmH2O)

A soft cervical collar would be suggested, as some of the OA look as though they are positional (chin tuck).

She could wear the soft cervical collar for short periods of time, during the daytime while doing other things, such as watching TV or reading, this will allow her to get comfortable wearing it, gradually increasing the time duration she wears it over several days or weeks, so she will not be distracted wearing it to bed for sleep.

    Good luck be with you.
