potassium metabisulfite
As a wine maker, I use potassium metabisulfite to sanitize all my wine equipment. Would anyone know if this is safe to use on cpap equipment. Thanks

RE: potassium metabisulfite
It's a sanitizer, food and wine additive and leaves very little residue but can give of SO2 gas. I have used brewery sanitizer "StarSan" which is similar. Properly diluted and used, it works well with proper cleaning to kill and prevent bacterial, fungal and mold infections. It's probably not necessary to sanitize CPAP equipment, but Carry on!

RE: potassium metabisulfite
Potassium and sodium metebisulpites are what I use and have been suggesting all along. Cheap, highly lethal to viruses, bacteria, and moulds in dilute solution, and so easy to use.

when it comes to sanitizing the cpap itself and the mask once a month i use Bacillol 30, no added perfume. humidifier with apple vinegar, hose warm soapy water and pressure.
