RE: Prevention rather than Cure ?
It goes up to your mouth/nose and stops there, except for the intentional leak to flush CO2 from your mask. That is unless you initiate a breath.

The tiny bit of air PRESSURE goes to the obstruction or blockage of your airway. It is NOT air flow. PAP therapy is not ventilation and does not inflate your lungs or breathe for you.
YOU are doing the breathing once your airway is clear.

There’s not enough pressure to do more than splint your airway open. I don’t know how else to explain this to you.  Dont-know
My get-up-and-go musta got up and went.  Cool

If the introduced air splints the airway open in your mouth/ nose, there’s no anatomical structure to stop the air from getting to the lungs. How does it stop in an open trachea ?

Once the splint is established, there is no flow unless you initiate a breath.
Why because without you breathing there is no pressure differential.

Do we need to provide you with a full fluid dynamics course?

RE: Prevention rather than Cure ?
No, simpler is better, but if there’s no obstruction to the air, why does it stop when there’s nothing there to stop it ? If it splints the airway open, there nothing to stop it from entering the lungs.
With constant pressure there must be flow if the airway is open to the lungs whether you breathe or not.
It’s like blowing air into a paper bag, the air flows in and out regardless of the shape or movement of the bag.

Obviously YES!

I give up.

I gave up on him a long time ago. My responses were only to discredit his (harmful) theory so that any body who might stumble into this topic in the future would know it's without merit.
