RE: Trigger Setting Switch - Aircurve 10
My understanding is that a higher trigger can expand the period of inhalation pressure support, which could decrease obstruction.

RE: Trigger Setting Switch - Aircurve 10
I agree with G. Szabo's analysis. Your OA's are very clustered together; like you put yourself in a certain position for a short period of time that caused this cluster. Have you ever tried a soft cervical collar?

RE: Trigger Setting Switch - Aircurve 10
I'd agree this was positional. Clustered events and high flow limits. I don't think the trigger setting is the culprit here.

RE: Trigger Setting Switch - Aircurve 10
Definitely looks like a positional thing, but I was curious about the trigger setting and the high amount of events the same day I changed the setting. I'll try again tonight and see if it was just a coincidence with the position I was sleeping in last evening. Thanks all!

RE: Inspiration and Expiration Time
That makes me feel better. I have a ResMed Autosense 10 and my insp is always larger than my exp albeit very slightly. Prob just an error if flow limits and AHI is all good, I’d guess.

RE: Inspiration and Expiration Time
Right, don't worry about it. If you want to reassure yourself, you can always zoom in and see for yourself roughly what the ratio actually is breath by breath.

RE: Inspiration and Expiration Time
Ok thanks. I zoomed in and looked and it was like +27 to -37 on the few I looked at. Is that what I’m supposed to look at it or am I counting seconds on each change in wave?

RE: Inspiration and Expiration Time
For the ratio, you want to look at the length of an exhalation and the length of an inhalation. Count the time between breaths (on the zero line) as part of exhalation.

RE: Inspiration and Expiration Time
Here's a typical zoomed in flow rate with no events, is that normal/ok to have that jagged line at the zero line?
04-22-2024, 01:49 PM
RE: Inspiration and Expiration Time
That is a normal wave-form with shorter inspiration and longer expiration. Explained in this wiki section https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph...E_Ratio.29
