When I have an active sinus infection I also add some colloidal silver. (IWHLIWT?) I know the idea is less than fun but nasal lavage is proven therapy. Use water about body temp and it reduces the yuk factor greatly.
I started to use some stuff available in Oz called Flo - basically a powder that just requires the addition of water into a squeeze bottle. I found it gross at first, but now it doesn't bother me. I can't believe it took a sleep specialist to tell me about this after years of sinus infections, etc.
I'm surprised at how well it works, but I've found its the difference between me taking off the mask at night because I can't breathe and comfortably keeping it on until I get up.
I'm starting to get my sense of smell back, and finding that I nose breathe a lot more than I used to during the day.
