My first night.

That makes sense. I did notice I found myself moving and waking up a bit more last night for some reason. I also am hoping the hose cover I ordered will help with the condensation in the short hose and mask every morning. The wet nose is starting to get annoying and I think it is also waking me up when I get water go into my nose at night.

In the short term take a couple of socks and wrap them around the short hose. You can hold them there with rubberbands. Doesn't look pretty but it'll help.

Hmm ok might have to give that a try. Also will the hose eventually dry itself completely once it has air running through it but no condensation building up? Because I notice even though I let it hang all day to dry it still has condensation in it when I go to use it at night.

You can empty your water and turn off the humidifier than let the machine blow dry air through the hose. That should dry it out.

Ok I will give that a try. I ordered an 8ft. hose cover that I'm going to use to cover both the short tube and the heated tube at the same time. It should be here Wednesday.

RE: My first night.
you can also set humidity to manual rather than auto. For the A10 models I have heard a whole lot of people complain about rainout while on Auto. start with a medium humidity and turn up the temp on the heated hose; increase if dry throat or nose, decrease if air is too "heavy". I max the temp on my hose no matter what humidity I select

Tongue Suck Technique for prevention of mouth breathing:
  • Place your tongue behind your front teeth on the roof of your mouth
  • let your tongue fill the space between the upper molars
  • gently suck to form a light vacuum

Practising during the day can help you to keep it at night

I think I am going to do that tonight. According to sleepyhead it shows my humidity as manual and at 4 but I have it set to auto so I think I will try it at 2 or 3 tonight and the hose temp either maxed or just below.

But to clarify my issue isn't with the heated hose at all that stays perfectly dry. It's the short hose on the Swift FX and the nasal pillows that are getting condensation in them.

heating the hose keeps the condensation out of my short hose as well. YMMV. I have never put a cozy on my hose, although I have thought about it. The only time I have had rainout with both humidity and heat settings maxed is when I got a defective hose. (it also lit up my S9 screen all night) the A10 max is higher than the S9 max, I have used an A10, but can't remember where I set the humidity on it now. not all the way up, but high.

We run a humidifier in our room now for the winter and I noticed last night that I didn't use all the water in the humidifier it was just below the bottom line and was filled to just below full. I have never woken up with a dry mouth or nose either
