Forgot to add, this works whether or not the member has voted in the poll or not.
EDIT: just tested it, and actually, that option shows up for even visitors who aren't logged in as well.

Sorry I didn't notice the poll until today. Yes, I know I need to update my profile.
My doctor didn't hesitate to agree when I said I wanted a ResMed AirSense 11 Autoset. My DME (same DME who provided my PR SytemOne) was delighted that I replaced PR with ResMed.
Insurance was no problem because my SystemOne is 8 years old. It now is my foamless backup. The most recent email from Philips suggests replacement or repair will take as long at Sept. 2022. But I suspect that never is more likely.
I'm happy with the AirSense 11, and I'm getting good results.
RE; the new Respironics Dream Station 2 - replacement for recalled unit - BEWARE......few days after using I began to wheeze and cough that got worse for the month I was forced to use to comply with Medicare - after compliance I returned to my good ole Divillibis and in one day wheezing and cough almost completely gone. The FDA has not approved this machine as there was a question about gasses released - does this sound familiar - I reported this to FDA and Phillips....will see pulmonary specialist and he can take this "free" machine and find a good place for it. I will never have another Phillips product in my home - and this used to be an outstanding company -

Today, Sunday November 21, A new (no hours) DS1 was dropped on my porch via Fedex. I had been told that the replacement would be arriving in December. It was just luck that I found the box! I have instructions to send the old unit back. Modem. power cable, humidifier unit etc. are to be re used with the new unit. I have now voted in the poll.
Surprise!
Jo
Do you happen to remember the address it came from. I got a notice from FedEx that I have a package coming from some customer service place in New Jersey. But I haven’t ordered anything. Funny part is the shipping info says 14 pounds but that to heavy for CPAP. Seeing your post just makes me wonder.

I replied "Replaced with a DS1 by Philips", but that is only half the story.
I live in Australia so the DME that I bought the machine from replaced my DS1 with an AS10 - and took the DS1 back. It was a warranty replacement under our consumer law.
But I had registered with Philips before that so they sent me a new DS1 about 7 weeks after I registered. I had tried to notify Philips but there is nowhere to do so on the src-update site and I did not expect them to be so quick so I delayed in digging up better details to let them know. Obviously, the DME did not let them know either.
Or perhaps they did because Philips sent me a letter (posted from Germany, I think) about a month after I registered, asking me to register.
One final twist. The DS1 that they sent me was an APAP when I only had a CPAP.

RE: Philips Respironics Recall Replacement Tally
Finally switched over full-time to a ResMed AirSense 10, from a (recalled) Philips System One BiPAP - that won't likely be fixed for a year, or ever, as the Philips CEO will considers it "shelved" with no need to replace (?). I've had great fear of switching from a BiPAP to a regular APAP, but ResMed's sleep algorithms have been outstanding. Messing around with pressure relief settings in the APAP, I'm now actually getting much better AHI results than from my Philips BiPAP.
Philips does a great job of feeding sleep centers and DMEs with complimentary units. They do the same with electric toothbrushes and dentists. If they're very good to the expert professional recommenders, they know that will pay dividends down the road. My sleep centers only used Philips ventilators. My sleep doctor seemed only knowledgeable on the Philips line. My (initial) DME only had Philips machines on display and as loaner units. Their attitudes were always "they're basically all the same so why not just go with Philips".
