I also have the Nuance Pro and I have found that if I have it too tight it will irritate my nostrils.

I have been using a saline spray twice a day. I shoot 2 squirts into each nostril in the morning and the same at night before bedtime. The pillow cushion comes in different sizes. My mask came with small, medium, and large. I use the small, an RT recommended that I try the medium because my AHI was running high (around 11). I tried the medium and could only wear it about 10 minutes because my nose felt like fire inside. I went back to the small size. After looking at some nuance pro videos on youtube I realized that I wasn't wearing the headgear straps quite right. Not that I am positioning the straps correctly, the cushions seal up better and I don't get the burning or the sores. In conclusion, humidity, saline spray, and a good seal all help. Good Luck.
