Need some help
Dear All - i need some help and would appreciate any assistance. I got a home sleep study kit ordered by my PCP doctor and test results recommended moderate sleep apnea and an APAP machine with 4cm - 20cm setting. I had my PCP write out a prescription and I ordered the Resmed Airsense 10 autoset from Supplier #1 [Commercial/DME Link removed]
Now, when I posted about this on a forum people are telling me that I will need a professional to set the pressure, to monitor etc. I don't believe my PCP has this ability. Do I now need to go to a sleep specialist and what if they tell me to order a different machine than the one I already paid for? Also, the prescription says apap machine. Does the above machine quality? Kindly advise.

RE: Need some help
You have a good machine, and you can do it yourself, with help.
1. order the clinical manual for your machine via the CPAP Setup Manuals link in the above black banner. it is a manual process so it may take a bit of time.
2. make sure your autoset has a SD card installed, top flap on the left of the unit. Any brand, 2-32GB not bigger. the detailed data is stored here
3. download and install OSCAR on your PC
4. Post nightly charts from OSCAR
5. We will suggest changes to your settings, including raising your min pressure (feel free to set min Pressure = 7)

Please do not post URL's even if it is the company's name, say "Supplier #1" which is listed in the black banner "supplier list". If you don't change it a moderator will be along to do so.
