I just posted that my Wisp package says max water temperature of 116 degrees. My current F & P Brevida mask says 50 degrees centigrade which is similar. Washing instructions say use lukewarm water and don't soak for more than 10 minutes. I'm pretty anal about washing the main parts every day and the hose and tank weekly--headgear occasionally. My husband only washes his CPAP equipment occasionally when I nag him enough--seldom as soon as once a month. No problems with him in 3 years of use.

You would be better off buying Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution. It is going to be as effective as boiling (the only thing that is better is autoclaving and you can't do that at home much less a hotel room). Use your regular soap choice to clean your items and then soak in the Disinfectant. Rinse well. Done.
Supplier #1 carries this product as do some other online retailers.
The only time I consider boiling anything is to get it back into shape (i.e. pillows used for some months can be refreshed sometimes by 5 minutes of boiling).
I primarily use Control III when I buy used stuff, stuff not in sealed packages and equipment when returning from hospital.

I am sure you have figured it out by now, but if you boil your CPAP parts, if it does not ruin them immediately... it will weaken or change the pliability of the plastic. As the first comment said: Do not use water hotter than you can tolerate on your skin... at least for a second or two. If you are worried about bacteria and such, you might want to consider an item called Control III. which can be purchased on Amazon. there is also a hose holder that is conducive to soaking the hoses... it holds both ends from a hanger type bracket so the contents will not leak. Control III is serious chemicals and be sure to follow the directions and wear gloves. I really appreciate the stuff.
