RE: New P10 user - getting assimilated
I started with the small pillows.
I had issues feeling like it wasn't getting enough air. I then switched to mediums and those worked great. I used mediums for about a month.
My Dme said they wouldn't replace pillows do I said Humm let's try the large. To my surprise, the large actually fit best. I have to wiggle them at first and once they warm up (couple minutes) they become invisible. They just hug the very outside if my nostrils.
I've went back and tried the medium they do work but not nearly as well as the large.
I concur with the try largest to smallest.
I small actually hurt my nose and felt like I was sticking things up my nose. The large doesn't go in my nose at all. Medium is kinda of a bit of both.

I wonder if in your transition you are either handling the mask in your sleep or just not sleeping as well. I would give it a couple more weeks to see what happens until you subconsciously become used to the new mask.

Yah, I do wake up more during the night as I deal with the hose. My previous wisp had the hose looped through the headgear overhead and totally out of the way of my toss and turns. The P10 hose gets somewhat in the way and entangled, and pulls at the mask leading to loud leaks. Decided to throw the hose over the headboard and it has improved. Will continue with it.

Newbee, I use a simple lanyard like you use for ID tags to suspend the hose from the headboard. Works really well, cheap and easily adjusted.

I use a hose holder that I purchased on Amazon. It is made of a light metal that folds flat so that it is easily packable and it connects together very quickly. Bungee cord is within the holder and works great for stretching with the hose as I move when I sleep. I used it on a Europe trip in the summer and a few times on business trips. I would not travel without it and it works just as well at home!

I purchased a hose holder on Amazon for about $26 made out of a light metal that folds almost flat for traveling. There is a stretchy bungee cord inside the frame that lets the hose move with you as you move around while sleeping and the arm above you keeps the hose out of your way as you turn. It has a flat section on the bottom that is inserted between your mattress and the box spring beneath it.
I used it this past summer on a Europe trip and I always use it for business trips but I also use it every day at home. It works really, really well and I am quite happy with it.
As to the P10, my favorite mask by far out of all the masks I tried.

Thanks, will craft something out!

RE: New P10 user - getting assimilated
I made a nice 'slip under the mattress' hose hanger instead of drilling a bracket onto the headboard wall and it helped get the hose out of the way during the night. However, it's an eyesore as the bed looked like a hospital bed with the hose draped on it. Any of the commercial hose stands/brackets would have the same effect. I switched to a medium and then large pillow and both quite sat nicely. Had to use the 2 supplied 'clips' to further tighten the 2 straps and it helped. However my leaks were still a bit off but I think acceptable and probably would improve with time, etc.
Have decided to use the P10 as my travel / backup mask and switched back to my old trusty Wisp with the built in slot for the hose in the headgear. I don't need a hanger with that setup to run the hose past the headboard.
Oh well at least I gave it a try.

I already mentioned I use a lanyard to support the hose on the headboard. It hangs on a finishing nail that is practically invisible, and the hose can simply be removed during the day.

Ah yes, that’s an alternative. Sorry I didn’t explain earlier. My headboard is cushioned as a backrest and there is nothing to tie or hook a lanyard to, that’s why I tried the hose hanger first. I’ll see if I can rig an alternate stealthy hook of sorts.
A friend just switched to the P10 and was raving to me about it today. I think I’ll step back down to a medium size and see how it goes.
