Good morning!

I didn't have any issues with turning off Ramp or the change to a minimum pressure of 8. I did have the highest AHI (3.5) so far since I started 5 nights ago. 

I still struggle getting the mask comfortable as noted by the 4 times I took the mask off although 1 of those was to use the bathroom. I don't feel anymore or any less rested today compared to normal.

Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Something Bonjour did not mention earlier, but I'm sure he saw (as I did) a tendency for your events to occur in clusters. This is a really common problem and is fairly easily solved. In your case, the positional issues are not very severe. You will see in the referenced wiki articles that some members experience AHI over 20/hour with positional issues. By understanding how it works, you may be able to find ways to avoid chin-tucking short of using a soft collar, but it's there if you need it.

I notice under the collar section it mentions a CPAP pillow (I also noted it said it wasn't as effective as a collar). If my positional apnea isn't "severe", do you think a CPAP pillow might be effective in my case? 

I ask because I think it would be an easier change compared to a collar. I normally never sleep on my back, but I have noticed recently that I wake up and I'm at least partially on my back. My assumption is when I'm on my side the mask digs into the pillow and is uncomfortable and/or causes leaks so I roll partially onto my back. However, I understand that the positional apnea can be in any position, but probably more common when back sleeping.

What are your thoughts?

Anything that prevents chin tucking. The main mechanisms are laying on your back with pillows that are too tall, or laying on your side in a fetal position. Some people have used the collar style airline pillows, a towel or pillow between the shoulder and jaw, anything that aids head and neck alignment. You have to think about how your own positional issues occur, then find simple comfortable aids to prevent head tilting to the sides or front that cause the poor airway alignment or impinge on the tissues of the throat behind the jaw. We're very flexible here.

I just want to confirm something. I have a Resmed F30 mask. Should my machine be set to “Full Face”? I saw something that said the F30i (which I don’t have yet) should be set to pillows and since they are similar I thought I’d ask.

Page 6 of the F30 User's Guide states, "Technical specifications: Mask setting options for AirSense or AirCurve: Select ‘Full Face".
