RE: How to decide which machine to buy?
Regarding the Airsense 10 Autoset, with slimline tubing...
- Is the slim tubing different than the standard hose for a DreamStation? Will masks attach to it the same, or is a different fitting needed? - The hose is not heated, right? A heated hose would be a good purchase? If so, is the heated hose called something different than the one for the DreamStation? (I'm trying to ask you what words to search for on Amazon.) Also, who is the online supplier of masks that lets you try them and exchange them until you find the one that works for you?

RE: How to decide which machine to buy?
Resmed's heated hose is trademarked as a "ClimateLine" hose. It is model specific, meaning the ClimateLine for a S9 is different than the ClimateLine for an A10. The slimline hose should be generic to all CPAPs.

RE: How to decide which machine to buy?
All CPAP tubing is standardized to a 20 mm fitting where the mask attachment occurs, however tubing has become machine specific. Non-heated tubing has a 20 mm rubber fitting on both ends, and I believe all machines still accept a 20 mm non-heated fitting. Heated hose fittings are however proprietary and specific to the manuacturer.

Wow. Kudos to ResMed for capitalizing on the opportunity. Smart way to make more money.
Good to know. What is the name of the supplier that lets you switch out masks until you find one you like?

Supplier #1 has return insurance, free for some masks.
