New headgear relieving scalp issues
I was a CPAP newbie whose scalp irritation was not helped by any of the remedies here. Recently I got an AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow. It's not as stable at night as the Philips Wisp I had been using, but not a major difference in how well it stays in place. And for some reason I'm having to reduce air pressure with this new design.
The good news is that the minimalist headgear design has finally got me to a place where my scalp is no longer constantly itching. What a relief.

Even with imperfections and medical expenses, this is much better than bad old days of headaches and tiredness during the day. I sleep fairly well!
