New machine interesting problem
Have been on A Bipap/ Sv machine since 2012 Due to my Central / Mixed Apena and Centrals being the main reasons for this and have had great success with 99.99 percent usage and low Ahi and a solid eight hours sleep day in day out

2 weeks a go i received a new machine the DreamStation BiPap Auto SV Advanced 900 xxx Paired with the F20 AirTouch

I have 80/ 100 percent seal and a heated tube the machine was set up just like my older machine made by the same company i am getting a very good Ahi and being familiar with tweaking the machine over the years have dialed her in in fact i just turned on the opti-start just to see what it does first hand 3 days ago i believe it takes 30hrs of data to do its stuff i do know is screws up information in Oscar tho and will be turning it back off ....

Sorry back on topic The machine is wicked and the results are Awesome my problem is i wake up after 2 hrs or 4 hrs fully refreshed and can go all day and late into the night without feeling tired.

I do go back to sleep after waking up sometimes but again i wake up after a few hrs .
I Know this is not good for me tho Mentally i know i should be sleeping longer And working shift work i am worried i might crash hard
Is this Normal ? Will i start sleeping longer i will post some screen shots from Oscar in a day or Two after i turn off Opti-start for now encore reporthttps://www.dropbox.com/s/jwoqt0lz0k6kn ... t.pdf?dl=0

RE: New machine interesting problem
Hard to say, there are some people out there that genetically don't need alot of sleep, like the current US President for example. If you want to force 6-8h on it then take some sleeping pills. I myself can't fall asleep or stay asleep without some sleeping meds.

You might find OSCAR easier.
You know you need the leaks fixed and is job number one. ASV really need a no-leak policy. More than any other machine mode.
You have it in a fixed mode, breath rate 10, the epap is locked at 8.5 and with max PS8, the machine can't rise above 16.5, This may or may not be enough. later you may like to try it in a more auto function. You could also turn off the rise time. You should be able to start at treatment pressure now and be use to a pressure shift. Properly set up, you won't need opti-start.

If the last machine wasn't doing it's job, your body may feel refreshed after a short time. You have been on this machine for 3 months, it may take longer a more normal unbroken sleep pattern to happen. Keep your doctor in the loop to what is happening. There may be some other sleep hygiene issues. Shift work is always hard on the body. A permanent night or afternoon shift would be easier. Everyone wants days.

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure.
