New style of elbow for Resmed F20/F30? Not the quietair one... This is something else
Came across this while browsing for a replacement elbow for my F20.
Anyone have any experience on this?
On first look, it looks like inferior venting. And no anti-asphyxiation valves...

This appears to be a knock-off, not a ResMed product. And dangerous without the anti-asphyxiation valve.

It isn’t the ResMed brand and some poor soul who bought it wrote a poor review specifically mentioning a breathing problem. That type of cheap garbage should not be sold anywhere IMO.

Yup......looks like a cheap knock-off. I'd stick with ResMed.

The biggest issue by far is the absence of the anti-asphyxiation valve.
Per ResMed "The anti-asphyxia valve (AAV) is a safety feature in all ResMed full face masks. If the therapy device stops delivering air for any reason (eg, in a power failure), the AAV allows you to breathe in fresh air from the room rather than re-breathe exhaled air built up in your mask." Do not try using a cheap knockoff elbow that cuts corners on safety.

Sometimes paying more for the "real deal" is money well spent -- whether we're talking about shoes or automobiles or sleep apnea gear. Of course, your life does not depend on shoes or (for most of us) automobiles. Do not cut corners. Pay up for the good stuff.
