New to board and recent addition of O2 to cpap and feel weird

RE: Recent oxygen addition to cpap and anxious
One sentence you stated in your original post was that "I also recently raised my thyroid meds so maybe it’s that." Did your PCP order this raise? If not, that could well be the problem--it is dangerous to do this on your own. I've been on thyroid medication for over 50 years--had it removed 42 years ago and my doctor still has to keep tbs on my levels. Be certain to let him know--it is an easy blood test to check this out!

RE: Recent oxygen addition to cpap and anxious
I have just joined the group and just heard of Oscar. Do you mean I need to figure out why my oxygen is low? I am 40-50 pounds overweight but I have such a tiny mouth and airway. I also have a deviated septum. My ahi though always is mild to moderate without my cpap and with it it says I am under 1 on machine. I live at high altitude of 6200 feet. I am thinking it’s the altitude, weight, my anatomy, and maybe I need a bipap?

Yes it’s my doctor that raised of course. I wouldn’t do that on my own.

No, you need not try to figure out why the oxygen is low. If this is from what Stacey asked for, this is in an attached OSCAR standard chart Daily tab. And a mention on you including what settings your APAP is running.

New to board and recent addition of O2 to cpap and feel weird
My doctor added 1-2 L of oxygen over night to cpap and I have used it for four days. I feel weird and anxious. I am trying to learn more about this Oscar thing and all that. Does oxygen make people nervous feeling? I was still dipping low to mid to upper 80’s at night with cpap. Some nights I was fine in my 02 and some i was not good. Just trying to figure out if it’s dangerous for me to be using oxygen if it’s making me feel weird.

2l is what EMTs gave "just in case" it is totally safe, (unless you are smoking). Something about fire and oxygen ;-)

do get a recording pulse oximeter. That will help you to see what is going on.
