Newbie - would appreciate review of Oscar data
Hi and Happy new Year to all,

I am a newbie to Cpap and Oscar, I have recently completed a 30 day trial and have had been on therapy for the past 2 months

59yo Male
BMI 28 health is fine
5kg over my preferred weight
Office worker 80/20

Background;

Blood pressure numbers were causing me concern mid 2021, I was feeling extremely tired and this was affecting all sorts of things, exercise, work etc, my daily treated blood pressure was averaging 150+/100+  so time to see quacks and find out what this issue was.

Visit to heart specialist and several tests later seemed to clear any concerns with the old ticker, blood pressure meds were changed and Doctor then suggested that I conduct a sleep study , I agreed and opted for the inlab study, this was completed with the worst sleep of my life and only minimal time asleep.

I have hopefully attached the sleep report and see 33 ahi per hour, cpap was recommended, appointment with provider and I was given a trial Resmed autoset 10 and 2 masks F30 and F20.

After reading the forums here I seemed to have experienced the normal issues with the masks, uncomfortable and couldn't get to sleep, leaks and air in stomach, bloating etc.  over the trial month I managed to become more adjusted and was showing numbers <1

Blood pressure had dropped to normal and even ideal numbers, I am unsure whether this is because of the meds or cpap therapy, however, I was feeling a lot better so I was confident I could continue with the cpap therapy and provider was happy for me to change settings to achieve comfort levels.

I was issued a new Resmed 10 autoset, I also changed to the P10 nasal after reading so many recommendations on the forums, this  is now my preferred choice and I tape most nights.

I have attached the stats page that show changes (pressure epr etc) I have made over Nov/Dec, these changes  were made in attempt to stop my restlessness, leaks, bloating, varying ahi numbers ca, flow limits etc etc and I seemed to be have been chasing my tail, I even achieved a 0 ahi once in this period and recent attempts to change settings back to where the lower numbers were earlier in treatment don't seem to be happening.

I have attached screen shots of last nights data and although there were higher CA I seemed to sleep ok assisted with melatonin and feel pretty good today, I like this setting very comfortable and will persist if the ca are proven to be of no concern.

My concern on the charts last night is that all the ca seemed to be preceded with junk breathing, after viewing each ca there only appeared to be 1 that wasn't showing this junk,

Hmm my f12 screenshots seem to be saved as black and not showing the data - will check if posted correctly

I would appreciate any input from members re the charts and recommendations for further options

Thanks in advance

Col

Welcome to the board. We need a daily set of Oscar charts. Oscar is free download at the top of the site.

Check on my link to charts in my signature it also gives info on Oscar.

I can see it. When you post you need the entire night at the top. You have zoomed in instead.

The link in my signature gives the charts we need to see next time.

You have a number of centrals. Are you using EPR? If so I would fail it back to 1 or off. The centrals are what are called treatment emergents and they go away in a few weeks when your body gets use to the pap therapy. EPR causes treatment emergents.

Try using the "view" at the top left side of the screen.  It has 2 things there that might help.  First the 5th option under view is take a screenshot.  The second under view is reset graphs and then choose standard.  That would give you the correct charts and the take screenshot should work.

Strange this f12 thing  when the test f12 worked this morning?

I can use the print screen for now,

as I mentioned earlier I just wanted to confirm whether these ca were real or junk (note no ca on lab test)

Tx Stacey,

that info seems to have worked in getting rid of black image, I have attached the full night zoomed and stats and

For the moment are we able to determine the best course of action based on the lab reports and last nights data

I feel very comfortable and rested on these settings, if the ca are not a concern i would like to keep this setting

Tx
