I tend towards depression as you do. I have had it my entire life. I'm over 60 now. It's mostly dysthymia so I can function if I have to. I
sometimes have to "spin up" for an hour just to force myself to do anything even if I want to. If you are sleeping that long I'd say that's a problem. Before
CPAP I used to sleep 8 hours per night and another 4-5 in the daytime
when I could. Now I with CPAP I can easily resist daytime naps, however my moods were not effected. I so hoped they would be.
I've tried just about every class anti-depressant on the market. Only
a couple did anything at all and I can no longer get them. I would
try a full face mask and get a pulse oximeter to check your O2 levels. If you are napping without CPAP hook up that's not good either.
