Are you on Original Medicare (Parts A & B) or Medicare Advantage (Part C)?  If original Medicare you need to determine if you are in a mandatory bidding area, in which case you can only use DMEs that qualified.  If Advantage, then you have to go through whomever the plan you are on uses.

Original. I ended up verifying with the regional DME that they bill Medicare. I have a feeling I'm not in a mandatory bidding area, but it was still important to me to get my stuff covered.

It sounds like they just take a few days to get me the equipment after they receive the paperwork from the Doc. Hope that's true.

There is one detail to know about getting a new mask every 3 months. Most insurance/medicare allow a new mask every 3 months but only allow new mask headgear every 6 months.
