OSCAR Privacy and quick upload Fix?
Anticipating future examination of my CPAP data, I took a look a Oscar: it seems to refuse to run without the user creating a profile. (SleepyHead was more private). Oscar did let me create a profile name without other data except a kind of user name, but it did require the DOB field to be filled-in, which is possibly identifying, and is invasive and ornery as an imposition. I think that having a choice between 2 Under & Over 65 checkboxes would be sufficiently significant! It should be offered before the DOB field, and it should suffice to run the software if you don't want to answer the DOB field.
I'm not using my OSCAR data with my CPAP doctor, so I would use it only on the forum, and do not want to start entering personal information then need to find later, how to prevent it from finding its way on the board, when all I need is a quick upload.
Hoping you can fix this? Thank you...

All a profile needs is a username. A country and a time zone helps.

RE: OSCAR Privacy and quick upload Fix?
I don't understand the problem. Is there some reason why you can't make your profile name "EasySleep" and your date of birth "11/11/11" or something like that which most people would understand is likely bogus? Tells us nothing about you that we don't already know from your public forum profile already.
Look, I'm an engineer, not a doctor! Please don't take my opinion as a substitute for medical advice.

Thanks Crimson Nape and BoxcarPete
for replying.
I tried to create a new profile with just my user name and then went to edit it to see how it took the presets, which I had not touched:
It saved my DOB as 1/1/2000 and date diagnosed as 1/1/2000.
The 11/11/11 idea is great, while otherwise someone could well be 24 years old and born on 1/1/2000.
Can you set the software so that while it offers an input interface, it doesn't save any data in those fields which the user does not interact with?
I agree it's not a big deal though, only worthwhile to do when doing other updates to Oscar.
I have more pressing issues in another thread about Oscar and oximeters
Btw there are only 2 places in the profile to put Rx data points, which are they? please give me sample entries
Thanks
