OSCAR crash importing Well O2 Max data
Ive been using OSCAR for a year or so, to analyze my sleep data from my Resmed Airsense 11. It's a hugely helpful aid to understanding my AHI issues which were really severe before being diagnosed. I still have several instances per week when I will dream badly, with what I've come to understand is due to O2 deprivation.
While my Dr ponders the issues, I purchased a Wellue O2 Max oximeter, so that I can set a low O2 threshold, and be woken early during these O2 episodes.
I'm now trying to import O2 data from my O2 Max oximeter into Oscar 1.5.1 running on my Mac running Sanoma 14.2.1 (I'd had the same issue on 1.4.0 & updated Orcar today).
I download the data from the Well app, onto my Mac as a binary file (eg 20240131135959.dat). When I navigate to, and select the file using the OSCAR import wizard, OSCAR crashes.
I have the Mac crash files, but cannot attach to this message. Happy to provide whatever data is required.
Thank you
RE: OSCAR crash importing Well O2 Max data
It's probably the ".dat" extension being the problem child. Try renaming the file without this extension. Just muse the 14 numbers. This has been updated in the code, and this file extension will work in the next release of OSCAR.

RE: OSCAR crash importing Well O2 Max data
Thank you for the super-quick reply.
I've been trying several different approaches, and just found that if I use the Data --> Import Viatom/Wellue Data, instead of the Oximetry Wizard, the import works perfectly (with or without the .dat extension).
Thank you for such a great tool
RE: OSCAR crash importing Well O2 Max data
The Viatom/Wellue importer is what you are supposed to be using. The Oximetry Wizard is only for Contec oximeters. OSCAR will allow the oximeter file with the ".dat" extension. It just won't allow you to change the starting time by modifying the filename. Since you are using a Mac, all bets are off on what it might do.
You may wish to read the Wiki on the Viatom/Wellue oximeter. Here is the link:

Software crashes are not acceptable .
However I don't have the data to reproduce your problem.
Can you please write up the exact steps you take to create the crash and the data involved.
Archive the data include your apneaBoard user name.

RE: OSCAR crash importing Well O2 Max data
I believe he attempted to use the Oximetry Wizard for Contec oximeters to try and import the Viatom/Wellue data file.

Edit Reason: problem fixed
)
RE: OSCAR crash importing Well O2 Max data
Thanks that should help in tracking where crash occurred.
Reproducing the problem is typically the longest part of fixing the problem.
But a crash should never never occur.
NOTE: The crash issue has been solved. and is schedule for the next release of OSCAR.

RE: OSCAR crash importing Well O2 Max data
I am having this issue after my 2nd night of using the O2 ring. The data imported correctly yesterday, but I've tried 3 times this morning, and it crashes OSCAR each time.
The data was imported into their native PC app, then the csv copied to the directory they create.
The same method that was successful yesterday.
Any clues? I have the latest version of OSCAR installed.
RE: OSCAR crash importing Well O2 Max data
The import uses the binary data file and not a CSV.
