OSCAR feature request (UX)

OSCAR feature request (UX)
Thanks for making some great software. May I request that when in Daily view, when a change is made on the left panel (this would be to select/deselect a session checkbox, or change the date in the calendar), that the entire panel not jump back to the top?  I like to compare data quickly between days and it causes the whole panel to jump and reset view to the top every time a session is deselected or date changed. This mostly affects viewing on mid-lower resolution screens. Thanks for your consideration.

RE: OSCAR feature request (UX)
That is a useful suggestion; I have wanted that myself. However, because of the way the page is created, that's not a trivial change.

I will make sure this suggestion is logged (#330) as an issue for future consideration.

RE: OSCAR feature request (UX)
First, thank you for OSCAR!

It would be very useful if there was a way to import .CSV files.  It could be simple and dumb with fixed columns.  For example, a column with the date, next with the time, and then a limited number of columns of data (4 perhaps).  The data would would then be displayed as a graph or bars on the time line.  So for example a pulse oxy meter output could be formatted into a .CSV with columns for date, time, oxy, pulse.  OSCAR would parse the date and time, them display the numbers as a graph or bars in the detailed display, perhaps with a label taken from the column header.

The data could be limited to something simple, integer or floating point with range limits.

With this devices like oxy meters that aren't supported could still be displayed.  The preprocessing could be done in Excel or other spread sheets by end users who could exchange templates for specific devices.  There are a ton of sleep monitors coming on market now, its going to be impossible to keep up, but many are quite useful.  Many can export data as tables.  A generic import like this could also be used by manufacturers to export in a form OSCAR could use with a minimum amount of code.

I've used this type of general import in many commercial products during my career as a systems engineer.  They are very powerful while retaining simplicity.

Thanks

Many users here have downloaded the OSCAR code and studied the Somnopose loader code, since it is a CSV importer. Several members here have published Excel and python code to format the data that can be read by using this loader.

OSCAR 1.5.3 has that ability.
There is checkbox on the first line of each section in the Daily Left Side Bar that will turn on/off the display of the section.
Clicking either the checkbox or the first line in the section will trigger the on/off function.
This works for the following sections:
  1. Device information              Example: Resmed
  2. Event Break Down               Pie Chart
  3. Statistics
  4. Device Settings
  5. Session Information

The selection will reset when OSCAR is restarted.

Perhaps a data file input to the existing oxiometer dispaly would be easier?
