I bought my DS from secondwind, it was a painless experience but also it was before we had to pay additional import duties here in Oz. By the time you factor in the shipping, exchange rate, and duties, theres nit much between the US suppliers and the Aussie ones. Intent now is to save.

Re the old card reader, yep thats the one, cant get a reader that will talk to the software (not Oscar compatible)
